Tips to make your move easy and safe!
Packing and UnpackingIf you are doing your own packing by your self there are a few guidelines:
- Put heavy items in small boxes, light items in larger boxes
- Mark all boxes containing breakables “FRAGILE” and put to one side
- Mark all boxes with room numbers or names
- Don’t overfill boxes so the lid won’t close tight
- Tape both the bottom and top of the boxes
- Use fish & chip shop paper for wrapping crockery, glass etc., your local chippy should xxsell you a ream and it’s cheap
- Don’t use newspaper you will never get the newsprint off
- Leave all clothing on hangers in the wardrobe. We supply special boxes on the day Please make sure all hangars are same way round as this makes transferring them onto rails much easier. All other small effects in wardrobes should be packed into
- Providing we can lift them, you can leave clothes in your chest of drawers
